Leonardo Da Vinci: A Person of Invented Imagination & Big Curiosity

A superhuman Leonardo da Vinci doesn't need any words of introduction. The diversely talented person above than our limits of imagination was an Italian painter, writer, architect, musician, engineer, botanist, sculptor, mathematician, geologist, inventor, catographer and anatomist.

Personal Life:

The birth of this genius was in 1452 at third hour of night. He was the out of wedlock child of wealthy Piero da Vinci (notary) and Caterina (peasant) in the Vinci town of Florence. His basic art training was from the famous art city Florence. At the age of 15 he became an apprentice to promising & talented artist Andrea del Verrocchio.

At the age of 24 he became master of his work, but unfortunately he was accused in the sodomy scandal along three other young men. This kind of homosexual interaction with Jacopo Saltarelli was considered as a criminal offense  at that time in Florence. But, the charges were dismissed due to lack of evidence.

  • He completely understands and studied the things before their structure.
  • In the past hundred years, he worked in a similar manner of the slow motion act on camera in order to explain the birds fly and various other formations.

  • This versatile genius was famed as a key figure in history with the begun of a cultural movement in Italy along the portrait of Mona Lisa & religious art The Last Supper.

Technique In Paintings: He used the specific formats like-

Sfumato: Sfumato means smoke like when the colors of painting slowly turn into light to dark tone and provide a smoky mystery to painting art. In this technique tones and shades of colors gradually meets one another, so the picture gets beautiful outline.

Chiaroscuro: It is a beautiful treatment of light and shadow in painting where a viewer can feel this light to dark contrast. Leonardo da Vinci offered natural tone to his paintings along the mixture of green, brown and black colors.

  • This great observer formulated some scientific laws and played a major role in science.
  • Study of human anatomy, especially proportion of head, human skeleton, backbone, internal organs, scientific representation of fetus, circulation and several other comparative studies.
  • His studies of geology, anatomy, botany, astronomy, geometry, optics and several scientific plannings provided the base to hundreds of inventions.

He was renowned as a Renaissance man, a person full of abilities, whether it is a task of new ideas, thoughts or exploration. There is no evident of Leonardo marriage, any relation with women and children. But, he was famed as a supporter and guide of various pupil, especially a person's name ‘Salai' stayed with him more than 20 years and he was appearing in his sketchbooks.
