Telugu film makers regularly continue to churn out blockbusters, considering the tremendously successful releases during 2014. Sequels have the great advantage of a readymade audience and Gabbar Singh is no exception, the Telugu reincarnation of the Hindi Dabanng. Pawan Kalyan is in the limelight once again and €Gabbar Singh 2' is in the making, something to anxiously anticipate in 2015. Pawan Kalyan will also participate in the remake of €Oh My God.'

Director Mohana Prasad has clarified that the under production €Crazywala' is not based on the life of political leader of AAP, Arvind Kejriwal, though appearances suggest so. Actor M.S. Narayana does present Kejriwal's looks and the film is a spoof with the intention to encourage voting across the country. Meanwhile, the government is considering the idea of compulsory voting as exists in a few countries.

Among interesting upcoming films is €Pandaga Chesko' about a millionaire visiting with the family in India. Ram and Rakul Preet Singh play the leading roles along with Sonal Chauhan too. Veligonda Srinivas wrote the story and S. Thaman provides the music.

€Gopala Gopala' should be interesting too as a remake of the Hindi film OMG (Oh My God) on the subject of atheism. Kishore Kumar Pardasany wrote it and directs the film and the stars are Daggubati Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan, Shriya Saran too.

Both the films may be released in early 2015. Yet there are several more planned for a 2015 release including the big budget epic €Baahubali' in two parts with Prabhas, the superstar. Other stars include Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty besides Tamanna. The film will also be released in several other languages like Hindi and Tamil.

The world of films generates enough controversy too with all the gossip going around like gangsters threatening to kill stars like Shah Rukh Khan. Whether Salman proposed to Katrina is a big question. Telugu girls do not seem to get recognition at home but suddenly become famous elsewhere. Telugu girl Archana changed her name to Veda and is supposed to be doing a Tamil and a Malayalam film. Her fortunes should improve rapidly as a result.
