    • Anza Borrego Desert State Park is a 600,000-acre desert park located just east of San Diego. There is a visitor's center at the park that provides exhibits and narrated slide shows of the history of the park. Outside the visitor's center is a desert garden featuring a pupfish pond as well as a preview of some of the vegetation located throughout the park. Visitors also may take advantage of scenic nature trails, picnic areas, wildlife viewing and family campsites.
