You have decided that you want to build a shed possibly because you might need room in the garage because your outdoor equipment has taking over.
Whatever you reason to build a shed might be it can become frustrating deciding what type of shed you should build.
When trying to decide on building a shed there are two ways you can go about it.
Shed kit or Freestyle.
If you choose to go with a shed kit obviously this is by far the easiest way and most time consuming method to take.
Most of the work is already done.
There's very little to measure, cut or drill so you can build your own attractive, durable storage shed with minimal skills.
The shed will be delivered pre fabricated and after it is delivered you just put the pieces together.
In my opinion the hardest part with a shed kit is finding a company that you can trust.
If you are going to go with a shed kit take your time and do your research online.
Depending on the company you will have a large selection of sheds to choose from.
Most will start off with an 8 foot shed and go up to 12 and sometimes 14 feet.
The only downside in my opinion is that with shed kits, I found them to be way too expensive.
I have seen on some sites prices for a basic shed start at 1,000.
00 and they only go up from there.
Those prices might be alright for some but for me I decided to look elsewhere.
The other way to build a shed is to get a set of shed plans and build it yourself.
A good set of plans is essential when building any shed.
When I built my shed I looked all over the web trying to find the right plan for me until I came across a site offering thousands of different plans.
Like anything do the researches online until you feel confident that you found the right shed plans that fit your needs and budget.
The best thing about shed plans and why I prefer them so much was that they made it very easy for even a beginner like me.
The shed plans offer clear Step by Step instructions by including visual blueprints with every set of shed plans.
With these plans you will also get a complete list of all materials needed to eliminate any guesswork.
Just remember before building any shed always check for any utility lines and most important, check with your local zoning board to see if you need a permit for your new shed.
