Common Name: Orange Dove
Scientific Name: Ptilinopus victor
Range: Endemic to Fiji.

Also aptly called the flame dove, this bird's brilliant orange plumage is striking and surprising, considering this shade of orange is not typically seen as such a bold part of a bird's coloration. The green head, yellow edging on the wings and the pale eye ring all stand out against the colorful body. Though this bird has a very limited range on some small islands of Fiji, it is relatively common in the forest habitats it prefers.
