- 1). Contact the pastor at your church to see if the church can use a printer. Churches often use laser printers to print bulletins, newsletters and other materials, and without a printer of its own the church must rely on members of the congregation to print those materials. Even if the church does not need a printer, the pastor may know a family in need who would be glad for the donation.
- 2). Contact your child's teacher to see if the school can use the printer, or if there are students at the school who need a printer but cannot afford one.
- 3). Call your local thrift store and ask about donating a printer. Many thrift stores, including those run by Goodwill and the Salvation Army, will be happy to take donations of working printers to sell in their stores.
- 4). Gather as much of the documentation that came with the printer as possible. If you have the original driver disk or manual, be sure to include that with your donation. Also include any extra ink cartridges or supplies you may still have on hand.
