How to Choose a College

.You shouldn't choose a university or college because you heard that it was a "party college". And this point doesn't need any explanations.

.You may wish think about a different approach to the college life. Do you succeed in a hands-on setting? You may wish to take into account an internship. Do you want to get your education in another side of the world? Perhaps you would like to study abroad.

.You should talk to your school's guidance counselor. An important part of the job is to assist students to choose a university and aid them with the college admissions process.

.Also, you should consider why you wish to attend college. Certain students take advantage of taking one year off in order to travel or work before continuing their studies. However, a great number of students intend to return to college after one year but never do. And it all counts on your long-run goals and ambition.

.Also, it is a usual situation when family members will make you go to a particular university or college as they went there. It shouldn't be a significant factor while making the decision. Though your family members wish the best for you, still it is ultimately your choice - and your own life.

.Also you shouldn't choose a college due to the cover picture on the info booklet. Almost each of such books has a similar picture: tempting students sitting (or standing) on the grass, seeming like they are having fun. (Actually, this would likely scare prospective applicants away when the cover showed stressed-out students with all-night cramming fest with a couple of empty Red Bull cans next to.)

.Go with the gut feeling. In case you visit a college that provides your program and you are comfortable there, then you need to send in that application.
