- 1). Clean the aluminum sheet with trisodium phosphate. Buy TSP with the other cleaning supplies at the hardware store. Rinse and dry completely.
- 2). Place a coarse-grit pad on your rotary polisher. Apply a pea-sized amount of cutting abrasive polish to the pad. Spread the polish across the pad.
- 3). Turn on the polisher and press it into the aluminum sheet. Move the polisher over the sheet. The sheet will turn black. Continue polishing until the black comes off of the aluminum. Polish the entire sheet.
- 4). Continue the polishing process. Switch to less-coarse buffing pads and less coarse polish. Keep switching tools until you have used the finest polish and pad. Rinse the panel with clean water. Dry with a soft towel.
- 5). Attach a buffing pad to the polisher. Put a pea-sized dollop of finish polish on the pad. Move the polisher across the aluminum to bring out a chrome-like shine.
