Frilly coffee beverages have gone from an extravagance to daily compulsion for us affluent Americans. Potentially one of the favorite beverages in coffee shops across the country is the Caramel Frappuccino. However, a regular Frappuccino can be priced at $4 to $5! At those prices, your java habit can drain your savings! To save you from both bad java and a severely reduced checking account, I have listed simple directions for creating your very own Caramel Frappuccino.
Items required:
1/2 cup of powerful fresh java
Same amount of milk
3 tablespoons of sugar
2 cups of cubed or crushed ice
3 tablespoons of caramel syrup
Whipped cream
First, brew your coffee in your regular way. But, prepare the coffee at least a third stronger than you generally like it. Caf© Frappuccinos are made with espresso, and pouring it on ice will dilute the flavor.
Now, pour the strong java into a standard blender. Mix in the milk, the sugar, the ice, and the caramel syrup. The caramel you squeeze on top of your ice cream already will taste wonderfully. Next, blend everything until you get a similar density as a malt.
Drain the mixture into a glass and top with the creamy topping. Wow! You just made your individualized gourmet Caramel Frappuccino!
The most obvious of the benefits of creating your Caramel Frappuccinos on your own, aside from the dollars you will save, is that you're now able to adjust the ingredients to suit your taste. If you enjoy a more powerful coffee flavor, make the coffee stronger. You just don't want to just add more weak coffee into the drink, because that will water down your Frappuccino. You can also reduce the sugar or use 2% milk in lieu of the full fat milk lots of coffee houses use.
Yet another thought is to prep your java beverages in advance. If you can't find few minutes to brew your Frappuccino in the early hours before work, you can make the coffee before you go to bed. Simply stir the mixture without the ice, then store it in the fridge until you want it. The next morning, pour the drink over the ice cubes. The consistency won't be the same, but the deliciousness should remain!
Start preparing your own Caramel Frappuccinos on your own, and may not ever have the urge to stop at another coffee shop for your addiction!
