- Prednisolone is a powerful steroid that is most typically used for inflammation of the eye.
- If your cat has a fungal situation in his eye that is displaying signs of inflammation, Pred Forte may actually worsen the situation. Be sure to have your cat checked by a licensed vet to insure proper treatment.
- Typically, your cat should be given two drops every hour for the first 24 to 48 hours. Prolonged dosing should include 1 to 2 drops two to four times daily.
- Like all medications, this too carries it with it a chance to exacerbate an already present infection; as previously mentioned, speaking to your vet prior to placing your feline on this medication is vital.
