With over 45 million visitors each year, New York City ranks as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. The city offers many famous landmarks as well as art museums, historical sites, diverse dining and abundant theater options. Navigating New York's busy streets can be challenging, but taking a bicycle tour provides a way to easily travel the city while enjoying the scenery. - Central Park Bike Tours features several guided bicycle tours of Manhattan. The three-hour city tour leaves from the corner of 7th Avenue and 58th Street and covers many of New York's most famous sights such as Times Square, Greenwich Village, Battery Park, Madison Square Park and Ground Zero. The tour departs once a day from Tuesday through Sunday. You can also choose to take the city tour at night. Central Park Bike Tours offers tours of Central Park that last two hours and depart three to four times per day. The tour company also provides other bike tours such as Art and Architecture, Movie Scenes, and tours of Brooklyn or Harlem. Private tours are available as well as bike rentals.

The Brooklyn Bridge and Hudson River tour lasts three hours and covers many tourist sights in Lower Manhattan including Hudson River Park, South Street Seaport, views of the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. The tour leaves from Pier 84. Bike and Roll offers the Brooklyn Bridge Neighborhood Tour that lasts two to three hours and includes Lower Manhattan as well as Brooklyn Heights. Another tour option is the Central Park and Greenway tour which leaves from Pier 84 and heads to Central Park. Bike and Roll provides a shorter two-hour tour that begins and ends in Central Park. All tours depart daily and operate from April to October.
- Bike the Big Apple features a true variety of bicycle tours. Most tours operate once or twice a week but are available upon demand. The Ethnic Apple tour lasts seven hours and ventures into several of New York's culturally diverse neighborhoods. The tour starts on an aerial tram and then participants head out on bikes through Queens, Brooklyn, past the United Nations building and into the Lower East Side. The tour group also stops for a Thai or Polish lunch. You can also choose the Secret Streets tour that bikes through Greenwich Village, Wall Street, Union Square, Chinatown, Little Italy and across the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. Other tour options include Friday Night Lights, the Heart of Brooklyn and the Sensation Park and Soul Tour.
