MLM Wealth: The Bottom Line...

Yesterday I drove to Toronto to visit my mom and on the way, I popped in a CD called "The Business of the 21st Century" by Robert Kiyosaki. I love listening to motivating or inspirational people when I drive.

What Robert talked about, I have heard many times before, but this time it really home. He talked about the four choices (or quadrants) we all have in life€¦

Most people choose the E quadrant, or Employee. I think most of us have been there and the bottom line is that is just plain sucks. Someone else dictates when and where you work, and for how much, and even if you can keep your job. But it's the 'norm' and people are comfy there.

A lot of people move away from the E and start their own business, which puts them in the S quadrant, or 'small business'. I have been there too, and I can tell you it sucks just about as much as the E quadrant. You work a lot and after taxes, you aren't much better off than your employees, who at least have some free time at the end of the day.

A few people fall into the B quadrant, or 'big business', but most can not afford to go there. By big business, I mean they have hundreds (or thousands) of employees working for them. The problem is that most people can't just go out and start a big business like that. It takes a lot of capital.

And finally, there is the I quadrant, which means they are investors. Again, if you have the money, go for it. But the average person just can't afford it.

The E and the S quadrants are where most people end up, simply because they can't afford to do anything else. But the I and the B are where you really get ahead.

There is one way that an average person can break out of the E and S quadrants, and it's called Network Marketing. Network Marketing is considered a B (big business) because you can grow an organization of thousands of people quite simply, you get the same tax breaks as a big business, and you can leverage the efforts of many instead of doing it all yourself.

The biggest benefits though, are the low start up cost (normally under $500), the emphasis on personal growth, and the fact that you develop yourself as a leader.

When you work for someone else, all your efforts go toward making someone else money. And at the end of the day, you really don't have any job security. Especially in today's world.

When you build a network marketing company, you have to help other people do well before you make money. It's really about people helping people, heart to heart and soul to soul €¦and that's what I love about it.

But even though it's a helping business, many people don't understand it and will criticize you for doing it.

So in order to really succeed in a network marketing company you really have to not care what other people think. And since most people think like an employee, you need to be strong, believe in what you are doing, and just find people who want to break out of the E and S quadrants too.
