Adam Jay Hendren

The Defendant:

Adam Jay Hendren, 36, of Juneau, Alaska.

The Charges:

Theft, embezzelment and misapplication of funds by a bank officer.

The Case:

Over a period of a year, Hendren used his position as an officer with Alaska Pacific Bank to use the bank's corporate Alaska Airline milage account to fly himself and his family from Juneau to the lower 48. The miles he used were valued at $8,503.

The Conviction:

Hendren pleaded guilty in federal court.

The Sentence:

Saying the offense involved a bank officer who abused a position of trust, U.S. District Court Judge John W. Sedwick sentenced Hendren to five years probation and 250 hours of community service.
