Traffic to and from the Indiana State Fair can be really frustrating. If you live in the Fishers or around 71st and Binford, taking a train to the fair may be an option. The Indiana Transportation Museum FairTrain is a tradition that has gained in popularity as traffic has grown.
Travel time one-way is approximately 30 minutes for the 11 mile trip. Travelers can choose among the 9 daily departure and 9 daily return times.
The FairTrain departs from Fishers Station, located on 116th Street, about a half-mile west of Interstate 69. Free parking is available at the station and then in areas around the Fishers town hall.
This year the FairTrain will pick up passengers behind Scott Dentistry at 71st Street as part of a fundraising project for Binford Redevelopment and Growth (BRAG). Tickets for this stop can only be purchased at the customer service desk at Kroger located at 71st & Binford Boulevard. Please arrive 20 minutes before your chosen departure time to allow time to purchase tickets.
The fares for this train are:
$13 round-trip for adults (age 13 and up)
$9 for children age 2 through 12
Free for children under the age of 2
Take advantage of discount days on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursday:
