1. Time management skills
2. Presentation skills
Each of the above-mentioned two points has certain levels in them.
1. Time management skills
- € Sort out the exam paper- As soon as you get the question paper in your hand; make sure to read it thoroughly. This is one of the most important points that every student should remember. Classify the questions as per what you know well; know better as well as unknown questions.
- € Know where to start- Start with the questions you know well, moving on to the ones you know moderately well. Doing so will ensure you've filled your sheet with answers that you've learned, leaving you back with the one's you don't know. If you attempt the questions you don't know first, you are bound to waste a lot of your precious time.
- € Stay focused- Since it's an exam hall, you're bound to be distracted even with the slightest of noise due to the pin drop silence. That's when you should keep your mind focused on reading, remembering and writing; nothing beyond. Stick to your question paper and answer sheet and erase off all the external disturbances that could lead you on the path of distraction.
2. Presentation skills
- € Word it well- In the exam hall, presentation is usually referring to the way you write your paper and present your answers to the examiner. You may have worked hard and must know the answers, however, if you do not manage to word it well; then your efforts could go for a toss.
- € Clean presentation- While writing your exam paper, it is important for you to keep the sheet as neat and clean as you can. Make sure to draw an extra margin to ensure all your text is neatly placed.
- € Point by point- Jotting down pointers as you write, gives the examiner a good chance to go through what you've written in a more convenient and simple format. It is always recommended that you consider writing pointers as and when applicable.
It is important for you to understand the critical moment you're in. Therefore, while preparing if you are finding some subject difficult, look for other alternatives to help you learn and dwell better.
For instance: If you're a CBSE class 9 student and mathematics is your difficult subject; log on to the internet and type in the keywords CBSE class 9 cd's to help you get some interactive learning aid. You could also look for two subject packages and buy CBSE science CDs to help you understand both the subjects and their concept easily.
