Choosing the Right Photo Frame

After you have taken your greatest photo, you need to find a great-looking frame to put it in.
It has to both enhance and and draw attention to it in a tasteful manner.
Trying to figure out which frame would look best can turn into a very confusing problem for most people.
Luckily it doesn't have to be.
Once you know what your looking for you can pick out the perfect frame practically without thinking about it.
Your first step in deciding which frame would look best with your photograph is to examine what is happening in it, what colors are most prominent and what the general tone of the image is.
The point is to enhance its natural beauty.
Once you have a good idea of all these things you can begin to think about what kind of frame would do these things.
There are an absolutely insane amount of different picture frames available on the market.
Different sizes, colors, shapes, and styles are easy to find.
You can also find them in many different materials such as metal, ceramic, wood, and plastics.
In order to enhance the beauty of the photograph you need to match the frame to certain parts of the image.
One of my favorite things to do is to pick out the color in the image you want to stand out the most.
If its a picture of a person you might want to draw attention to their eye color(provided the color isn't already prominent in the image).
Black and white photos usually look great with a modern style silver picture frame.
If you want to use a colored frame with black and white photos I would suggest using one that is black rather than white.
Black draws someone into the image while white kind of drains the focus of the image back out into the room.
If your image is a little small and you want it to take up more space you can also consider using a frame that has a border.
If the frame has a border then you can use the color of it to your advantage to draw attention into the center of the photo.
A great way to do this is to use a lighter color on the border and a darker color on the frame.
For example the frame could be silver and the border could be white.
I would avoid using heavily contrasting colors however.
