- River Valley Community College is situated on 180 acres on Route 220 in Claremont, New Hampshire. River Valley offers associate in arts degrees in liberal arts, teaching and general education, as well as associate in science degrees in accounting, business, information technology, criminal justice, nursing, education, occupational therapy, physical therapy and respiratory therapy. Certificates are also available in a wide variety of fields, including phlebotomy, paralegal, health science, education, massage, accounting, business management, medical and nursing assistant and website design. New Hampshire residents pay tuition of $195 per credit hour, and out-of-state residents pay $445 per credit hour. Financial aid assistance is available through the school.
- New Hampshire Community Technical College, located at 505 Amherst Street in Nashua, New Hampshire, is a junior college that offers associate degrees in technical fields. Courses and degrees can be applied to bachelor's programs at many four-year institutions. This public college was established in 1967 and had attendance of 1,725 students as of 2007. Annual tuition for in-state residents is $5,760, and annual tuition for out-of-state residents is $12,544.
- Granite College in Claremont, New Hampshire, a member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, offers associate degrees in arts and science, bachelor's degrees in arts and science and teacher certification programs. Granite College offers a variety of class schedules to accommodate students, with day, evening, weekend and online classes. Students can complete accelerated classes in as few as six weeks. As of 2010, 4,516 students were enrolled at Granite College. In-state residents pay tuition of $260 per credit hour, and out-of-state residents pay $275 per credit hour.
- Colby-Sawyer College, a four-year institution located 24 miles from Claremont in New London, New Hampshire, was founded in 1837 and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education and the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Colby-Sawyer offers bachelor of arts degrees in art history, biology, communications, English, creative writing, history and psychology; bachelor of fine arts degrees in studio art and graphic design; and bachelor of science degrees in environmental science, exercise science, nursing, sports management and athletic training. With 1,119 undergraduates enrolled for the fall semester of 2009, Colby-Sawyer's small class sizes and student-to-faculty ratios enhance students' learning experience.
