- Attach the micro-USB cable that came supplied with your Kindle to the adapter slot on the bottom of your Kindle. You can insert the other end to an open USB port on your computer. Make sure your computer is turned during the entire charging process.
- You can attach the power adapter that came supplied with your Kindle to the adapter slot on the bottom of your device. Then, insert the power adapter plug into a wall socket.
- Charging devices such as USB wall chargers, charging hubs and other power converters are not supported by the Kindle. Amazon recommends only using the charging devices that shipped with your Kindle device. Use third-party charging devices at your own discretion.
- The Kindle typically requires four to six hours to charge completely. A yellow light appears next to the USB slot on your Kindle during the charging process and turns green when the device is fully charged.
