How to Fix a Mitsubishi TV That Won't Turn On

    • 1). Check power cord connection. Locate the electrical outlet or surge protector that the TV's power cord plugs into and make sure the power cord has not come loose. Sometimes the other end of the power cable detaches from the television so make sure that end of the power cord is secure in the back of the TV.

    • 2). Test with another electrical outlet. Try plugging the power cord into another slot on the surge protector or bypassing the surge protector and plugging it straight into an electrical outlet. If you don't use a surge protector, try plugging the TV's power cord into a different spot on the same outlet or better yet a different outlet altogether. If the TV is still not powering on, it is time to contact Mitsubishi.

    • 3). Contact Mitsubishi. Their technical support department should be able to walk you through more advanced troubleshooting and hopefully restore power to the TV. Alternatively, you can bring the TV to an electronics repair store and have it serviced.
