What is a Deadlift? Dos and Don"ts of Deadlifting

A lot of people are probably wondering what a deadlift is.
A deadlift is an exercise you do to work your upper and lower body.
You might think it's easy to do, but it isn't.
There are things you should and shouldn't do when you're trying the deadlift workout.
1.
Don't perform this exercise without the right tools.
For protection, wear an exercise belt.
Many newcomers got severely injured for not wearing this belt.
Think of it as a safety belt.
Would you drive without putting it on? I hope not because that's the number one cause of death among drivers.
2.
Start at the beginner's level
You never want to start at the advanced level because you can hurt and possibly kill yourself.
After your body stops responding to the easy workout, move on to the harder one.
In deadlifting, you have to start from the bottom to the top.
3.
Don't lift the bar too fast
You'll strain your muscles if you do that.
Lift the bar slowly and carefully.
Did you know that your upper body will get stronger if you steadily lift it? That's why professional body builders lift weights at slower paces.
4.
Try this exercise once per week
I know you're thinking this is insane, but let me tell you why it isn't.
Like regular weight lifting, you have to give your muscles a break.
Otherwise, your arms will be too sore to lift.
They'll feel like they weigh 100 lbs.
5.
Don't squat too low
I'm sure there's a sign in the gym that shows you how to stand when you're trying to deadlift.
If not, ask the gym instructor.
6.
Straighten your posture
Words can't describe how important your posture is.
Hunching your back will result in back strain and the pain is unbearable.
This has happened to me before and I couldn't lift any weights for a week.
7.
Never take long breaks
Long breaks are bummers in exercising and your body will weaken.
You can only take 1 minute breaks in between deadlifting to for increased strength.
8.
Time yourself
Timing yourself is very important in everything, especially this activity.
Overdoing it will add more wear and tear to your biceps and triceps.
20 minutes is the amount of time that should be spent on deadlifting.
