I have read in many forums, that many people had bad experience of their sites are being hacked.
I hope this will never happen to you, but it's better to be careful than be sorry.
One of many ways to keep your WordPress blog or website secure.
To do this you can change your Admin username in your database.
Why would we do that? Because most of hackers know that WordPress gives us "Admin" as our username login by default.
1.
Step one Go to the right database which you installed your WordPress website or blog with.
2.
Step two Find wp_users table in that database, and click "browse", the very left icon, when you hover it, it says browse.
3.
Step three Go to "user_login" tab and find "admin" as your username, click the pencil icon to edit it.
4.
Step four After the pencil icon is clicked, you will find "user_login" in a row, replace "admin" with unique and not-easy to guess username.
(this unique username, you have to remember in order to be able to login to your dashboard later on, so please try to remember it or write it down).
5.
Step five Click "Go" and log out or close your phpMyAdmin window.
To login to your dashboard, enter your new login username that has been made, and enter the password which is still the same password, remember we haven't changed password, to change your password, you can do it easily in your admin dashboard.
I hope this will be useful
