This is by far the one part of blog promotion that takes up the most of your time.
So, it's important that you make your writing and publishing as efficient as possible.
Step 1: Write A Blog Post Now you need to write a blog post.
Anywhere between 300 - 500 words is fine.
You can easily get that done in 15 minutes.
I recommend using your keyword in the headline.
if your keyword is "skiing vacation" you can write a headline along the lines of this: "Skiing Vacation - How To Prepare Your Family For Your Next Skiing Vacation".
There are thousands of great headline templates on the Internet that you are free to use, just do a search on Google.
The structure of your post is easy! Structure it along these lines:
- Headline
- Introductory paragraph (4 - 6 sentences)
- Tip 1 (4 - 6 sentences)
- Tip 2 (4 - 6 sentences)
- Tip 3 (4 - 6 sentences)
- Tip 4 (4 - 6 sentences)
- Summary conclusion (4 - 6 sentences)
The main body on your text will be the tips you found in the content research phase.
You need to elaborate a bit on them, but don't overdo it! Finally you want to summarize your main points towards the end of the blog post.
With a bit of training this can easily be done in 15 minutes.
Step 2: Publish Your Blog Post I use WordPress for all my blogs.
Mainly because it is simply the best blogging platform there is, period.
However, there are a few things you will want to consider when you publish your blog posts.
First of all, there are a couple of plug-ins I highly recommend that you install.
The first one is a plug-in called "All-In-One-SEO.
" This plug-in makes it very easy for you to edit the title, description and keywords meta tags of your blog page.
This is a very important step in optimizing your blog posts for the search engines and thus a very important step when promoting your blog.
The second plug-in that I highly recommend is a plug-in called "WP-to-Twitter.
" This plug-in automatically sends out a tweet alerting your Twitter followers to your newly added post.
I get a fair amount of traffic to my blog just from those 2 plug-ins alone! Then it's time to publish your post.
You will notice just above the publish button that you have the option of scheduling your posts.
This is a very useful option if you are occasionally able to write more than one blog post.
This will give you the option of either adding more blog posts, which is always a good thing, or taking a day off from writing occasionally, which might quite frankly be necessary.
