You might think I'd say something like "read all my books" or "read my 615 weekly AWR newsletters" or "read my 2000 odd essays in the archives of SeekWellness.
com.
" You might think that, but you would be mistaken.
I am not quite that delusional-and besides, some might suspect I was less than objective or thinking clearly about the best sources.
No, when asked this question, I say, "visit the website IDWellness!" One reason I recommend the latter and not my own books, newsletters or essays is because only a fraction of these materials are about wellness at the worksite.
The most important reason, however, is because IDWellness is all about the worksite and the website is easy to navigate, it's available 24/7 and it features near-weekly webinars on the nature of wellness at the worksite.
IDWellness has sponsored well over 100 webinars attended, on average, by anywhere from 125 to 500 individuals.
At least 110 of these webinars have been archived and are always available.
IDWellness is a global community for persons interested in wellness throughout the world.
Membership is free to anyone who wishes to discuss, share, learn and promote the wellness concept.
Individuals and organization can and many do create their own identity on IDWellness.
There are no ads-how cool is that? One of my favorite of these features, available to all who share an interest in the subtopic, is the International Directory of Wellness Professionals.
The site even offers 36 language options.
Members can, if they wish, create a blog, engage in forums and more.
So far, IDWellness hosts six international global organizations, as follows:
- Brazilian Quality of Life Association
- Deutscher Wellness Verband
- European IIHP Center
- HPCareer.
Net, llc. - International Institute for Health Promotion (IIHP)
- National Wellness Institute of Australia
- National Wellness Institute (Stevens Point, WI)

government which, in this case, really is here to help you.
I refer to the CDC's National Healthy Worksite Program that offers a training and technical assistance overview webinar.
Such a program is on offer (also free, of course) this very afternoon.
This webinar is designed to promote a new CDC worksite wellness service starting this summer.
One offer will be teleconferences for "practical, skill-building training for employers to implement comprehensive worksite health programs.
" The goal is to help employers implement science and practice-based efforts that will result in "specific, measureable health outcomes (that) reduce chronic disease rates.
Of course, "reducing chronic disease rates," something everyone should support, is a good thing and worth doing, it's unsettling that a program focused on "worksite wellness" does not promise anything about higher quality of life! What about employees who learn to better appreciate and utilize reason and science, experience exuberance and more joy in life, embrace behaviors that include sound nutrition and vigorous daily exercise and value their personal liberties and freedoms? In other words, what about REAL (reason, exuberance, athleticism and liberty) based wellness, CDC people? As has been the case for the past few years, until the CDC proves its value for REAL worksite wellness as well as reducing chronic disease rates, IDWellness will be my "go to" counsel whenever I'm asked where to find good quality information about wellness at the worksite.
All good wishes.
Stay well and look on the bright side of life.
