- 1). Log on to your Eee PC and open a text editor like Wordpad or Notepad, or a word processing program like Microsoft Word. Test each of the keys and make a list of the ones that are sticking or unresponsive.
- 2). Shut down your Eee PC and remove the keyboard. Shake the keyboard vigorously to loosen any accumulated dust and debris, then turn the keyboard upside down to let it fall away.
- 3). Spray the entire keyboard with a can of compressed air. Hold the can about 12 inches away from the keyboard and at a 45 degree angle to the keys. Give each problem key an extra spray of compressed air.
- 4). Turn the keyboard upside down and shake it to remove any dirt and food particles loosened by the compressed air. Reattach the keyboard to the computer and restart the computer.
- 5). Test each of the keys again and make a list of the ones that are still not working. Shut down the computer and remove the keyboard.
- 6). Insert a small flat screwdriver under each problem key and use a pair of tweezers to remove any dirt or food particles under the key. Repeat the process with each of the problem keys, then test the keyboard again.
