Video

• 1). Check the TV's power supply if you're unable to get the TV to display an image at all. Try plugging something else into the outlet, like a lamp, to see if the receptacle has any power.
  
  
• 2). Press the power button on the TV if you're using the remote and unable to see an image. The remote's batteries could be dead.
  
  
• 3). Go to another channel if you're unable to see a picture on just one channel but your TV is on. The TV station could be having broadcast problems.
  
  
• 4). Move sources of electrical noise away from the TV. These include neon signs, hair dryers and lighting equipment, which may interfere with the picture.
  
  
• 5). Adjust picture options if the image appears distorted, especially if it's light, dark or off-color. You find these options by pressing the "MENU" button on your remote and selecting the "Video" option. Then adjust brightness, picture (which is contrast), color and hue.
  
  
• 6). Contact a TV repair technician if you cannot turn on the TV and you see a red light flashing on the front of the unit. This indicates a more serious problem that you should let a trained technician handle.
  
  

Audio

• 1). Check the basic sound settings if you can't hear anything. Press the remote's "MUTING" button to see if the audio is muted. Then check to see if the speakers are on by pressing "MENU" on the remote and selecting "Audio." Look to see if there's an option that says "Speaker: Off." You can turn the speaker on by clicking that option.
  
  
• 2). Check the "MTS" settings in the "Audio" menu if the sound quality is poor. Ideally it should be set to "Stereo," not "Auto SAP" or "Mono." If it's already on "Stereo," try selecting it to change it to "Mono" and see if that helps.
  
  
• 3). Check the "Audio Out" settings in the "Audio" menu if you're using external speakers. If you want to adjust the volume with the external speaker's controls or with an audio receiver's controls, you should set "Audio Out" to "Fixed." If you want to control the external speaker volume with the TV's remote, you should set "Audio Out" to "Variable."
  
  

Remote Control

• 1). Check the batteries first. Try putting in new ones and checking their orientation to make sure the remote has power.
  
  
• 2). Check the remote's mode. The mode controls which device the remote communicates with, like the TV or cable box. Pressing the "TV" button in the area labeled "FUNCTION" to ensure that the remote is sending a signal to the TV.
  
  
• 3). Use the buttons on the TV itself to make sure the TV is working properly. It's possible that the remote is fine and there's a problem with the TV.
  
  

Twin View

• 1). Check the setup of your cable box, if applicable. If you receive all cable channels through the cable box, you cannot use Twin View with multiple cable channels. Twin View only works with different inputs on the TV.
  
  
• 2). Use the correct input for each pane in Twin View. The right pane cannot display input from "AUX," "VIDEO 5," VIDEO 6" or "VIDEO 7."
  
  
• 3). Check the input if you're unable to see a picture in one or both panes. You may have selected the wrong input, or there may be something wrong with the video source. Try viewing content from both sources without Twin View to see if they work.
  
  
• 4). Check the "Skip" option for the Twin View inputs. If "Skip" is enabled, your TV won't ever use that input. You find this by pressing the remote's "MENU" button, selecting "Setup," and then choosing "Video Label." Select the video sources you're using in Twin View and see if any are set to "skip."
