Small Airports in Florida

    Melbourne International Airport (MLB)

    • US Airways, Delta, Direct Air and Baer Air offer flights to and from Charlotte, Atlanta, Niagara Falls, Punta Gorda and the Bahamas. The Melbourne airport is located within minutes of Port Canaveral and one hour from Orlando.

    Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport (PRA)

    • Pensacola offers more flight options than Melbourne. Carriers fly to most states in the Southeast. Flights go to Dallas, Charlotte, Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis, Houston, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Washington. Flights to Cancun, Montego Bay and Nassau are also available as of January 2011. Pensacola airport is located within minutes of the beach.

    City of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE)

    • This airport has only two runways and is mostly for corporate and business travelers, with capacity for small commuter planes only. The executive airport boasts that it is fast and convenient because there are no ticket counters, lines or confusing terminals. This airport is located minutes from downtown Fort Lauderdale and one hour from Miami.

    Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW)

    • Southwest Airport is located in Fort Myers and flies to cities in the Midwest and along the East Coast. All the major airlines fly here as well as many smaller carriers such as Sun Country, USA 3000 and Westjet. This airport also has one flight to Canada and one to Berlin. It is convenient to Marco Island, Sanibel Island and the Everglades.
