I'm Patrick Bell and this is your Kingdom Business As Mission 2-minute lesson.
Today we're going to talk about Creating a strategy, part 1 of 3.
When it comes to creating a strategy for your business, there are some questions you should be asking:
€ Do you currently have a clearly defined, written strategy that governs all your marketing and business operations?
€ Compared to your direct competitors, how do you rate your strategy?
€ In the past 12 months, have you studied the subject of strategy in order to improve your own?
€ Is your current strategy getting you the outcome you had hoped for?
To give strategic advice here for the entire marketplace would be somewhat over-reaching. However, I'm going to try. Grab a cup of coffee, lean back in your chair, and prepare to let your brain €¦ and your heart €¦ be challenged. Are you ready? Here we go! This is what I'll call The 7 Steps to Super Strategy! and it will be the cornerstone of your marketing and sales processes.
Jay Abraham (www.abraham.com) has taught me so much over the years and it is to him that we can thank for some of this lesson.
1) The first thing you have to do is strive to have complete empathy with your clients. You know that you should use the word client, not customer, don't you? Customer implies one who buys the products or services of another. Client implies that they are under your care, just like a patient is under the care of a doctor.
2) You have to see your purpose as leading your clients, as opposed to just letting customers do whatever they want just so you can make a quick sale. You have to take the role of the leader, as a benevolent authority or good father (or mother) figure in their life who won't let them do what is not in their best interests.
