- 1). Take vitamin C, even before allergy season arrives. This can go a long way toward strengthening your immune system.
- 2). Run the air conditioner inside your vehicle and home whenever possible. This helps to filter out dust, pollen, and mold.
- 3). Use a dehumidifier in your home to reduce humidity. Humidity causes dampness, which in turn can cause mold to grow in your home. Many people are allergic to mold spores.
- 4). Use eye drops to reduce redness and itchiness. This also will help to flush out your eyes, keeping the risk of swelling to a minimum.
- 5). Wear sunglasses when you go outside to help keep pollen out of your eyes.
- 6). Take an over-the-counter allergy medicine that addresses all of your symptoms. Use a non-drowsy formula during the daytime.
