Waukeen's Promenade in Athkatla
Escape from Irenicus' dungeon at the beginning of the game and make your way into Waukeen's Promenade in the city of Athkatla. - 2). Go to the circus tent not far from where you pop out of the ground when you make it out of the dungeon. Speak with the boy next to the tent, who will inform the party that something has gone wrong inside and that his mother has disappeared.
- 3). Head into the tent and go past the genie guarding the door. Speak with the ogre in the middle of the tent, who claims that she is actually an elf and that an illusionist has taken over the circus, making all of the people look like monsters with his magic.
- 4). Find the two normal-looking people at the north end of the tent. They are actually orcs that will attack your party when you get near them. Defeat the orcs and take the sword one of them was carrying.

The Elf Aerie
Use the sword to break the chains holding the ogre; the spell on her will be broken, revealing her to actually be the elf named Aerie. She will then ask to join the group. Accept her offer and she will become a playable character.
