Hi, I'm Jamie Bozzi of Smart Dog, and today we're going to discuss how to stop male dogs from sniffing other male dogs. Sniffing is extremely important to dogs. In fact 30% of their brain is dedicated to olfactory. It's a natural and normal greeting ritual and we do want dogs to be able to get that very important information from the environment and other dogs. So sniffing is really like checking Pmail or checking your Facebook status. It's a natural normal greeting behavior that dogs need to perform. So you should let them sniff one another. In the event that the sniffing leads to something worse like fighting or aggression, then you should definitely see a certified pet professional. Once again, I'm Jamie Bozzi of Smart Dog, and we've just discussed how to stop male dogs from sniffing other male dogs.
