"Barney: Be My Valentine" - Overview

When Barney and his friends gather together to celebrate Valentines Day, they notice a special Valentine in Barney’s box. Further inspection reveals that the card is an invitation to the castle of The Queen of Hearts. She invites Barney and his friends to come and take a tour of Valentine Castle, filled with rooms of wonderful surprises.

At the castle, Barney and the kids meet the sweet Queen of Hearts, and they have a great time using her fabulous rhyming machine, decorating valentine's cookies, and visiting a beautiful flower garden. The kids secretly make a special Valentine’s card for the queen, and they discover that Valentine’s Day is for showing you care.

Guide Review of "Barney: Be My Valentine"

Nothing out of the ordinary here, but Barney always does find a way to incorporate learning into any subject. Valentine’s Day is the perfect venue to discuss color, rhymes, and imagination. The fun that Barney and the kids have creating cards and the rhymes to go with them will not only teach children about creativity and language, but kids will probably also be excited to create a Valentine’s card of their own. Have the paper, glitter and glue ready!
