Raltegravir/H2 Antagonists; Proton Pump Inhibitors

How the interaction occurs:
H2 antagonists and proton pump inhibitors decrease the amount of acid in your digestive tract. This may allow your body to absorb more raltegravir.
What might happen:
The amount of raltegravir in your blood may increase and cause more side effects than normal.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Let your doctor know if you have any unusual side effects from your medicine.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
