Home Inspections Boosts Home Buyer Confidence

Are you having a hard time selling your house? Are you planning to sell your house and would like to do it fast? Make sure to get a property inspection from a home inspector who is certified by the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).
A recent survey shows that 88% of U.
S.
adults are confident and more likely to buy a property once it has been inspected by an ASHI certified home inspector.
This is also applicable to home buyers who are in the market and scouting for homes.
A buyer home inspection is needed to ensure that the property they are planning to buy is in good condition.
According to an online survey conducted within the US by Harris Interactive via its Quick Query omnibus product, more than 2000 adults aged 18 and older who are mostly homeowners would prefer to invest in properties that are inspected by a professional home inspector.
In this survey, it showed that four out of five adults think that foreclosed property and short sales are good deals especially if the property inspection deemed the property is in good condition.
Although there are consumers who are uncertain of the quality of service from some inspectors, once these home inspectors were discovered to be ASHI certified it increases their confidence.
The American Society of Home Inspectors is the largest and oldest organization for home inspectors.
They have maintained a high standard of practice and strict code of ethics when it comes to inspecting homes and other properties.
"It is encouraging to learn having a home inspection increases home buyer confidence," said Marvin Goldstein, president of the ASHI.
"We look forward to prospective buyers acting on the security brought by home inspections to breathe even more life into the recovering housing market.
" After the recession that caused the real estate economy to plummet, it is a welcome breath of fresh air to know that the housing market is recovering with the help and confidence given by an ASHI certified inspector.
However, it is also important to note that home inspection is not the same with home appraisal.
The purpose of an inspection is to check the overall condition of the property which will:
  1. Let the seller know important areas that need repair or restructuring.
  2. Let the buyer know the major repairs that were done to show them they are getting a good deal and a good condition home.
  3. Aid in the final asking price for the property.
Because of the confidence boost given by an ASHI certified home inspector, the organization is determined to continue with manifesting and maintaining its high standards to ensure that both homeowners and home buyers are being guided well when it comes to their properties.
