- 1). Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Brush both sides of four fresh or frozen thawed cod fillets with melted butter or olive oil.
- 2). Spray a 9-inch by 13-inch baking dish with low-fat butter-flavored cooking spray if you choose not to brush the fish with butter or oil. Place the fish fillets into the dish.
- 3). Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the fillets. Sprinkle seasonings, such as salt, black pepper, dried or fresh dill or paprika, to taste, on the fish.
- 4). Place the baking dish on your oven's center rack. Bake the fish uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes, or until its flesh is opaque and flakes easily when checked with a fork.
