    • Employers may institute a training wage for minors between 16 and 19 years of age of $4.25 per hour for the first 90 days on the job. Once 90 days have passed, teenage workers must be paid at least the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour if they are under 18 years old and at least the state minimum wage of $7.40 per hour if they are over 18.

On days when school is not in session, minors can work up to a a 10-hour shift, but can only work an average of 8 hours per day for the week. Workers under 18 years old may only work a maximum of six days per week, and the weekly combined hours of school and work for a minor must not exceed 48.
