How to Read a Blank DVD

    • 1). Insert your blank DVD into any DVD-compatible optical disc drive on your computer. This can be a DVD-ROM drive or a DVD-RW drive.

    • 2). Close the disc tray on your DVD-compatible optical disc drive. The blank DVD will begin to quietly spin in the drive's disc tray.

    • 3). Click "Start."

    • 4). Click "Computer."

    • 5). Right-click on the icon for your DVD-compatible optical disc drive. Click "Explore." This will open a new folder-browsing window containing the disc's contents. As the disc is blank, the folder displaying onscreen will be empty.
