Most married people would really like to get pregnant quickly once they have already settled down in their marriage, and find the longing for a child of their own. These following 3 important steps would help you to increase chances of getting pregnant effectively.
1) Having right sex on the right timing. Put more attention when you ovulate and have sex during your most fertile period, it is one or two days before ovulation and on the day as well. In order to know when you'll be ovulating, use an ovulation predictor kit, check our basal body temperature or keep count of the days.
Ovulation predictor kits can help you determine your ovulation days since they detect hormones in your urine that indicate you are about to ovulate. Approximately 80% of married people trying to get pregnant conceive within nine months of trying.
2) Keep yourself with optimum weight. Make sure that you are neither overweight nor underweight. Overweight and underweight women have a tougher time getting pregnant as compared to women whose weight is optimum and healthy. Please therefore try not to fall into either extreme. Before going through fertility treatments even doctors advise losing weight.
3) When you are having sex, let stick to the missionary position with you on your back and your man on top, since it allows sperm to enter your cervix. For more effectiveness, you could prop your hips up on a pillow. In case this position is not good for you, you could try the rear one or even lying side by side. Standing positions or one's with you on top isn't effective, since they don't allow the sperm to enter the uterus. After having sex, lie still and continue to keep your hips lifted on a pillow for about 10 minutes. It will give the sperm that has entered the vagina enough time to reach your cervix. Having sex thrice during your ovulation week raises the chance of sperm being present in the fallopian tubes when you do ovulate.
The fact is the first week of pregnancy is essential, as most women do not realize that they are pregnant, and as such, they do not take the necessary care. Losing the baby at this point is very high. So if you are trying to get pregnant, you must look out for those tell-tale pregnancy symptoms such as uncommon fatigue, possible nausea and mood swings. Do not merely write them off as stress. Get a pregnancy test kit handy to make sure. And once it tests positive, please visit your doctor.
