- 1). Measure the headstocks of the guitars you want to hang. You need to leave room between the ceiling of the armoire and the wall hangers themselves. This gap should be at least 1 inch larger than the longest headstock on your guitars. Also measure the depth of the armoire and the width of your guitars, as the armoire must be deep enough to accommodate your guitars.
- 2). Place one guitar hanger on the right-hand inside wall of the armoire, in the center with respect to the doors and back wall, and far enough from the ceiling to accommodate the headstock. Hold the hanger in place with duct tape so you can secure it with screws. Repeat this process for the other armoire wall. Place the two remaining guitar hangers in the back of the armoire using the same process.
- 3). Place the rubber screw covers over the screws poking through the wood. There should be eight in all. Just push the rubber screw cover onto the end of the screw and turn it so that the cover screws onto the metal tip of the screw.
