- The Grand Caravan is Dodge's entry in the competitive minivan market. It originally debuted in 1983 as the Caravan and adopted the Grand Caravan name in 2008 when many improvements, including more power train options, were introduced. The 1994 model was still referred to as the Caravan. There were 10 different trim levels available for the 1994 model-year.
- Three different engine types were available for the 1994 Grand Caravan. The 2.5-liter engine is an inline four-cylinder with 100 horsepower and 135 foot-pounds of torque. The 1994 Caravan was available with a three-speed automatic transmission or a four-speed automatic with overdrive.
- Two of the trims, the C/V and C/V extended, have 20-gallon fuel tanks while all other 1994 Grand Caravan models have 19.80-gallon tanks. The all-wheel drive models get 17 miles per gallon in the city and 22 MPG on the highway. The four-wheel drive models vary in fuel economy based on the engine type. The 2.5-liter engine gets 20 miles per gallon in the city and 24 MPG on the highway while the 3.0-liter engine gets a little less, at 19 miles per gallon in the city and 23 MPG on the highway.
