Billings, Montana, is a mix of the natural and the urban. The largest city in the state, one can find the culture of a big city mixed with plenty of outdoor activities. Rimrock Opera Company and Billings Symphony Orchestra offer performances throughout the year. Big Horn Canyon Recreational Area is an outdoorsman's paradise with hiking, biking, boating and wildlife. If you're visiting the Billings area in your recreational vehicle, there are several nearby parks. - Yellowstone River Campgrounds is on the banks of the Yellowstone River and is home to 110 camp sites. RV sites offer water, sewer, electrical and cable hookups. Tent camping and cabins are also available. Take a hike on the nature trail, let the kids play on the playground or get a competitive game of basketball or horseshoes going. A game room, arcade, outdoor pool, laundry area and general store are on the property as well. Pets are allowed, but must be attended to at all times. Nearby attractions include Moss Mansion, Yellowstone Art Museum, Pictograph Cave State Park and Pompey's Pillar National Historic Landmark.
