      Billings, Montana, is a mix of the natural and the urban. The largest city in the state, one can find the culture of a big city mixed with plenty of outdoor activities. Rimrock Opera Company and Billings Symphony Orchestra offer performances throughout the year. Big Horn Canyon Recreational Area is an outdoorsman's paradise with hiking, biking, boating and wildlife. If you're visiting the Billings area in your recreational vehicle, there are several nearby parks.

    Yellowstone River Campgrounds

    • Yellowstone River Campgrounds is on the banks of the Yellowstone River and is home to 110 camp sites. RV sites offer water, sewer, electrical and cable hookups. Tent camping and cabins are also available. Take a hike on the nature trail, let the kids play on the playground or get a competitive game of basketball or horseshoes going. A game room, arcade, outdoor pool, laundry area and general store are on the property as well. Pets are allowed, but must be attended to at all times. Nearby attractions include Moss Mansion, Yellowstone Art Museum, Pictograph Cave State Park and Pompey's Pillar National Historic Landmark.

    Billings KOA

    • Open April 15 through Oct. 15, Billings KOA is on the Yellowstone River and provides campers with many desirable amenities. Guests can take advantage of cable TV hookups, fire pits, free wireless Internet access, swimming pool, hot tub, mini-golf and fishing. Pistol Pete's serves up an authentic western barbecue for dinner and pancakes for breakfast every morning. RV sites with full hook-ups are available as well as tent sites and cabins. You'll feel like you're away from it all in nature, yet you're still close to attractions of the city, including the Yellowstone Art Center, Moss Mansion, Zoo Montana and MetraPark.

    Billings Trailer Village RV Park

    • Billings Trailer Village RV Park is right off of Interstate 90. Open year-round, the park offers 69 spaces for RVs of any size. Sites offer full hook-ups, free cable TV and wireless Internet access and are extra-wide to accommodate slide-out trailers and awnings. Guests have access to a laundry area, playground and bike trail. The property is close to downtown Billings and all its attractions. RV washing is permitted on the site for a small fee. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are offered with a discount for AAA or Good Sam members.
