- 1). Close DOSBox if it is running. Resetting either configuration file while DOSBox is running can cause DOSBox to crash.
- 2). Click on the Windows "Start" button, and then click on "All Programs." Open the DOSBox folder. The folder name will contain the current version of DOSBox. For example, if the current version of DOSBox is 0.74, the folder will be named "DOSBox-0.74." There will be a folder named "Options" in the DOSBox folder. Open it.
- 3). Click on the program named "Reset Keymapper" in the "Options" folder. This will reset the DOSBox keymapper to its default configuration. It deletes the users customized keymapper configuration and replaces it with a new, "blank" version.
- 4). Click on the program named "Reset Options" in the "Options" folder. This will reset DOSBox's general configuration file to its default settings by replacing the customized configuration file with a fresh copy.
