- 1). Launch GarageBand. You can find a shortcut to that program in your "Applications" folder.
- 2). Connect an external music keyboard to your Mac by using a USB connection. If you don't have a music keyboard, press the Command and K keys at the same time on your computer's keyboard to open the virtual keyboard.
- 3). Play music on your virtual or real-life music keyboard. GarageBand will automatically create a new track and record your music in the "Tracks" pane.
