Diet Supplements Warnings? The Truth Behind Herbal Cures - Epilepsy Disability - Pesticide Free Food

Herb: In my friends journey of looking for a cure for epilepsy, he stopped eating cooked foods and he says it is not about removing the cooked foods as much as it is about adding more enzymes into his diet.
So, Josh, it seems that you could just add enzyme pills and vitamins into your diet and be just fine so you can cook your foods like normal.
Josh: You have a very good point, Herb, it can seem like that.
I need to warn you though that even though in some ways that is true that is not all there is too it.
Much of my removing of overcooked vegetables was more about adding enzymes than it was about removing the cooked stuff.
But there are some other things happening too.
Many vegetables require a lot of fertilizers and pesticides that can cause problems for those of us with nerve problems.
While removing certain forms of vegetables I tried to stick with stuff that was organic or grown without the aid of a lot of chemicals.
So there is some removal of bad stuff as well as adding of good stuff.
My philosophy is that each thing that is removed from a diet should be replaced with something better, so i do supplement with herbs as well as stay away from pesticides and stick with raw vegetables.
Herb: So removing of pesticides and fertilizers is part of the vegetable process.
But don't raw vegetables also have those same things? Josh: Yes some raw vegetables are given hormones or pesticides.
So the removal of cooked vegetables was accompanied by a stricter standard of produce in general.
With pre-processed foods that are frozen or canned it is more difficult to find out whether or not chemicals have been used and they often also use preservatives that may be harmful.
Fortunately the trend is leaning more and more toward healthy lifestyles so governments are cracking down on agricultural standards to use less harmful chemicals in the farming of fresh produce that will be sold raw.
Though it is still good to be careful about what foods you purchase stricter agricultural standards sure makes a label reader's job a little easier so you can focus on some of the other important things.
Herb: That sure is good news to hear that the problem of chemical farming is easing up a little.
Josh: Yes it is, Herb.
I don't want to skip over something you said earlier though.
I don't want there to be any misconceptions.
First of all, I did not get rid of ALL cooked foods.
I also still cook foods sometimes, but rarely ever in a microwave or by boiling.
Instead I cook on the stovetop.
It is possible to get a quick cook on the outside of some foods while keeping the inside fresh with some enzymes left in there.
Though it is not a vegetable, an easy example is an egg.
The enzymes that help you digest an egg are in the yolk.
It is possible to cook eggs with a good hard white, while leaving the yolk uncooked on the inside.
This is helpful in keeping some of the enzymes and phytochemicals that can help your body to clean out pesticides quicker.
You can also clean out pesticides from your body by supplementing with herbal cures that are not just a scam but really do help.
