New Horror/Suspense Releases in Theaters and on DVD: Week of August 23, 2009

This week, we have a rarity, with two major theatrical horror releases in one week: Halloween II and The Final Destination. A busy slate of DVDs includes Ghost Image and Red Velvet.


The Final Destination


At a race track, a multiple-car crash sends flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing Nick's friends moments after a vision convinced him and a few other friends to leave. Having cheated death, the crash survivors begin to die one-by-one in increasingly gruesome ways as death comes back with a vengeance.
