- 1). Position the SD card with the label facing up and the metal contacts pointing toward the card slot.
- 2). Push the SD card completely into the slot until it stops and clicks. The end will extend slightly from the edge of the computer.
- 3). Click the blue Windows logo at the bottom of your desktop, then click "Computer." The SD card appears as a removable storage device.
- 4). Double-click the SD card icon, and copy files to and from the card as you would a hard drive or other storage device.
- 5). Click the "Back" button to return to the "Computer" window. Right-click the SD card icon, and then click "Eject." Windows will display a message stating that it is safe to remove the device from your computer.
- 6). Push the SD card into the slot until it clicks. Let go of the card, and it will pop out further from the slot. Remove the card from the slot.
