How to Remove Coax Cable Locks

    • 1). Turn off whatever electronic device that the coaxial cable is connected to. Turn off all power sources in close proximity to ensure safety.

    • 2). Cut a line on the cable lock from the top to the bottom, using a utility knife, while gripping the bottom of the lock firmly with your other hand. Make sure you don't cut into the coaxial tip or cut the cable itself.

    • 3). Penetrate the line deeper until you've made a cut that has penetrated all the way through to the lock. Cut the lock all the way down the line. Make the cut slowly to be sure that you don't injure yourself. The cable lock is made of plastic, so it should be fairly easy to cut without a lot of pressure.
