1. Weekly Legitimate Work at Home Jobs
The weekly list of legitimate, pre-screened work at home jobs made the top of the list for the second straight year in 2009. Page 1 - the most recent two weeks of jobs postings - had much more traffic than page - work at home jobs for the previous two weeks. That tells me that some may not know there is a second page, or that some of you check the listings every week or so and it's not necessary for you to click through to page 2 of the work at home jobs list...Read this feature

2. Another Google Work at Home Scheme: Can it Get Any Funnier?
You might say this was the "blog post heard 'round the world" - and commented on from around the world. The goofy ads that were posted everywhere promising free or just a $1.49 investment or your money back for a so-called "Google Kit" that would allow you to make loads of money from home. The ads were very deceptive - and still appear in lots of places - and now both the Federal Trade Commission and Google have taken legal action against the scammers. Many of you shared how you got ripped off - or almost...Read this post

3. Making Money with Google AdSense
This piece on how Google AdSense works and how it can make you money moved up from the 6th most popular feature in 2008 to number 3 in 2009. Because of it's continued popularity among my readers, I am planning to do a step-by-step piece on exactly how to add Google AdSense to your website or blog, so keep an eye out for it! 4. Ten Home-Based Business Ideas for Moms
Holding steady at number 4 for both 2008 and 2009, this piece created some controversy when it was first published. I was accused of being a chauvinist with cave man like thinking, but I got over it. Guest author Misty Cryer-Davidson helped bail me out with her follow-on sequel direct from a work-at-home mom, 5 Stimulating Work-from-Home Ideas for Stay-at-Home Moms, which did not make the top 10. I'd have to assume not all of you thought I was a cave man on this one. Read this feature

5. Google Responds to Work at Home Scams
I hope my complaining - and your complaints - had something to do with Google finally firing off a shot at the scammers who were the subject of my blog post that ranked number 2. I'd like to think so. So many of you were disappointed at Google's apparent inaction, but finally they got off the dime. This blog post explains. Read this post

6. Five Tips for a Great Brochure
Although this feature dropped from number 2 in 2008 to number 6 in 2009, it still leaves a lasting impression. And so should your brochure! I asked Shawn MacKinnon, director of www.brochuresource.ca to provide his insight on how to create a great brochure. His top 5 tips for doing just that became the heart of this very popular article. The popularity of this piece is also giving me inspiration to create information that's even more basic for creating brochures and other handouts for your home business in the future, so watch for that.Read this feature

7. How To Find A Proven Legitimate Online Business
Although it dropped in popularity from 5th place in 2008 to 7th in 2009, there's no question that this guest piece from writer Cynthia Minaar, who hails from South Africa, is a good one. Cynthia provides her tips for what to look for and what to avoid when it comes to the ever-growing popularity of starting an online business from home. Again, the continued popularity of this piece tells me you want more in the upcoming year on starting and running an online business, and I plan to give that to you! Read this feature

8. Definition of Marketing Mix
It might seem strange that a glossary entry would place in the top 10 most popular features for 2009, but it did. I bet some of you didn't even know this site had a glossary, did you? At any rate, if you're thinking of starting a business, either online or a crafts type business you operate strictly offline, it helps to know what the "marketing mix" is all about, so you can develop one for your success. Whether formal or informal, knowing what type of marketing mix will work for you can be important, even for a one-person business. Read the definition

10. Medical Billing From Home: Avoiding The Scams
For the second straight year, Paul G. Hackett's informative guest piece on how to avoid medical billing scams if you're trying to find work at home was among the most popular. Scams are rampant in this area, but Hackett puts medical billing under the microscope with this piece and several others on the subject so you might avoid a lot of problems if you decide you want to check into it.
