Budget Travel: How to Save Money Using the Internet

What are some of the most common ways that people use to save money on travel? Most people don't put a lot of thought into it.
For many, a vacation is a time to splurge.
It's a time to forget about saving money, and spend the money that you've saved in the past.
But that doesn't make sense to me.
If you have the chance to save money on a vacation, why wouldn't you? Today I wanted to talk about using the Internet to find the best deals.
I'm going to go a lot more in depth than talking about price comparison websites, since those are things that people are already familiar with.
Instead, I want to talk about some other resources that people tend to overlook Save Money Using Facebook and Twitter Social media has changed the way people do a lot of things.
It's changed the way we interact with our friends, get information about the world, and even play games.
What many people don't realize is that it can also change the way you travel.
If you're trying to plan a budget friendly vacation, then Facebook and Twitter are great resources for finding discounts, since many businesses announce discounts with these websites.
Also check to see if your destination's department of tourism has a Facebook or Twitter page.
Local governments are usually excited to promote their local businesses, and many will give you interesting tips for visiting that destination as well.
Try Using Blogs and Forums to Connect to Other People Take a few minutes to subscribe to some blogs or forums.
If you're visiting a popular destination, then chances are that there are a few people that blog about it.
If their blog has been around for a while, then they'll more than likely have interesting money saving tips for their area.
Leave a comment, or email the blog owner and see if they have any budget friendly recommendations for you.
Forums are another great place to get recommendations because many people will read your post.
See if there are any forums related to your destination and join a couple of them.
Then, post some questions looking for fun (yet cheap) things to do.
You'll get the occasional jerk, but most people will try to be helpful.
One of the best places to get this information is Yahoo Answers.
If you have a Yahoo account then you can ask a few questions on Yahoo Answers and see what kind of suggestions people have.
