For each of the forty weeks of your pregnancy, it's very important to be aware of the symptoms and your baby's growth and development so that you'll know exactly which is normal or not.
Pregnancy is a wonderful experience but along with it are plenty of discomforts.
Your body will undergo a lot of changes and as with your first trimester pregnancy symptoms, don't worry because they are tolerable.
Because of the implantation of blastocyst into your uterus, you may experience some spotting or bleeding.
Most women often associate this with having a period.
Don't worry because this is normal.
On your fourth week, you may experience some first trimester pregnancy symptoms that are very similar to the symptoms of having a menstrual period.
You will notice that you are exhausted most of the time even though you're just doing the same routine.
Your breasts will feel tender and very sensitive because milk glands are starting to multiply and as early as now, you will have mood swings and the bad news is, they will be hanging around for the rest of your pregnancy.
Symptoms vary from woman to woman.
You may also feel hungry very often and you will develop a craving for a certain type of food, other women do not experience this though.
Others have food aversions and just one sniff or the thought of eating that food makes them sick in the stomach.
Morning sickness is also one of the most common first trimester pregnancy symptoms.
This will go away as you go along with your journey but if you're unlucky, you may have to deal with it for the rest of the pregnancy.
Since your uterus is expanding or growing, it will press on your bladder causing you to have frequent trips to the bathroom.
On your seventh week, you may either gain or lose some pounds.
This is perfectly normal at this stage.
On the next coming weeks, your waistline will be expanding and if this is your second or third baby, you may have a pooch already.
What else should you expect? Pimples, sometimes lots of them! You may also experience heartburn and indigestion.
Some women swear by eating ripened papaya to alleviate these symptoms.
On your tenth week, your morning sickness may have eased out a bit.
Since your hormones are going crazy this time, you may have blotchy, dry flaky skin.
These first trimester pregnancy symptoms will fade within days or weeks of delivery.
By week thirteen, your uterus will shift up and forward as it grows which means it won't be pressing on your bladder so much.
You'll definitely have less frequent visits to the bathroom!
