Anyone suffering with bacterial vaginosis (BV) knows how annoying this can be.
Recurrent BV is a completely different matter.
It is beyond a nuisance since it disrupts your life completely.
BV is a bacterial infection within the vagina.
For some women, they only get the infection once and it never comes back.
Other lucky ones - such as myself - suffer with reoccurring BV.
Here are some common symptoms and treatments for bacterial vaginosis.
Recurrent BV Symptoms - Bacterial vaginosis occurs when there is an imbalance in the bacteria that normally live within the vagina.
This can be caused by a variety of different stresses such as poor diet, wet clothing, new sex partners, douching, etc.
The symptoms of BV vary as well.
Here are some of the common symptoms of bacterial vaginosis.
* Very Strong Vaginal Odor (fishy or musty) * Vaginal Discharge (white or gray) * Vaginal Discomfort * Painful Urination * Pain During Intercourse If you suffer with recurrent BV - you'll most likely have some of the symptoms above.
Not all women show signs of infection however.
Some women will have a BV vaginal infection and not even know.
If you are pregnant, whether or not you exhibit any signs, it is highly important that you get tested since this infection can cause birth complications.
Recurrent BV Treatments - There are a few different ways to treat bacterial vaginosis.
Some women take antibiotics which are often prescribed.
These work for some women but not for everyone.
Other women decide to go the natural route to treat recurrent BV infections by using homeopathic treatments such as boric acid applications, hydrogen peroxide douches, fresh garlic applications, tea tree oil applications and more.
